Raelynn Davennor (she/they) writes fantasy romance and fairytale retellings—usually of the darker variety—and is the author of the Curses of Never and The Phantom of Notre Dame series, both of which became viral BookTok hits.

She is known for her diverse and morally complex characters, as well as her ability to craft heart-wrenching plots that explore heavy themes. While she is a firm believer that light cannot be fully appreciated without first traveling through heaps of darkness, Raelynn always ensures that her characters find their well-deserved happily ever afters—especially the LGBTQ+ ones.

When not obsessing over her latest idea, she enjoys pampering her menagerie of pets and pretending she isn’t an adult.

    I knew I was going to love this before I even started it. Peter Pan meets Pirates of the Caribbean, of course, what’s not to love? Though not your typical retelling, insert dark retelling with monsters and curses and you have a start to a new amazing series.

    This book was so hot, not just because of the fire, but it was angsty and utterly sinful. This retelling of The Hunchback of Notre Dame was beautifully done by the author. I feel it’s hard to find a sapphic retelling of anything Disney and I truly enjoyed this one.

    R. L. Davennor is officially my favorite author at this moment in time. I could not be more grateful to have stumbled upon her works of art. After having spent years without reading and rejecting my love for books; I took a leap of faith and chose hers to reignite my passion for reading once again and I will never regret it.
